Add email account to BlueMail - Android App

To add an email account to BlueMail, do the following:

  1. In BlueMail, click "Other Email" under the Add Account option
  2. Enter the email address you are setting up
  3. Enter the password
  4. The app should find the configuration and add the account
  5. If the app can not find the information it will ask if you are using IMAP or POP3 and you would pick which one best fits you:
    1. IMAP stores all mail on the server and is best used with multiple devices -- like a mobile device and a computer
    2. POP3 downloads and deletes mail from the mail server -- it is best used for one mail client at a time because of a mismatching of mail
    3. On the Incoming server page, enter the server name found on your mail services page in the either the client area or the control panel
      1. You may use mail.example.com where example.com is your domain, however, you may also receive an error that the security certificate does not match
    4. Set Security to: SSL / TLS
      1. If you used mail.example.com, use the option that does not have "check / verify certificate"
    5. Set port to 993 if you picked IMAP or 995 if you picked POP3
    6. Hit Next
    7. On the outgoing server page enter:
      1. Use the server address you used for the incoming server above
      2. Security: SSL / TLS
      3. Port 465
    8. Complete the rest of the account setup
