How to add custom DNS records

You may need to use DNS records for services else where, such as email via gmail.  To setup those records, please do the following:
  1. Login to the control panel (please see on how to do that)
  2. Go to Domain settings menu --> Domain info
  3. If you have multiple domains listed, click the domain that you are interested in
  4. On the domain info page, go to DNS configuration
  5. On the DNS configuration page you will be able to add A, MX, CNAME, and TXT records and you create those using the "Add custom record" for each type
  • When creating records, the "name" field should be left blank if you are only dealing with the domain and not a sub domain ( or www.
  • The data field is the address that the record should have
  • When creating "MX" records, leave the name field blank
  • When creating CNAME records, put only the sub domain part in the cname .  So if you are creating a cname for, you only put "cname" in the name field
