Mail filters allow you to take action on a message when it is delivered to your inbox. To setup a mail filter for Zimbra, do the following:
- Login to the webmail interface for the mailbox in question
- Go to Preferences -> Mail filters
- Click on "New filter"
- Enter a name for the filter
- Pick the condition that the filter needs to meet to take the action
- Pick the action you want
- For example, if you want to move the message to a different folder:
- Pick "Move to folder" (may also be "File to folder)"
- A folder browser will come up, pick the folder you want to file to
- For example, if you want to move the message to a different folder:
- Click save
Once a new message comes in, it will run through the filter. You may also manually run a filter by picking it and clicking "run" .
