Effective this month, January 2026, Gmail has started to shutdown POP3 fetching for other (non-gmail) mail accounts. You will no longer see the option to add POP3 fetching. Also, any gmail accounts setup to do POP3 fetching will no longer download mail from your hosted mailboxes. This is a phased shutdown and not all gmail accounts lose this feature at the very same time.

Options Going forward:
- Use standard mail clients and check mailboxes with POP and IMAP and download directly to your computer or device
- Please check the knowledgebase articles for setting up your mail client
- Use webmail -- Roundcube is available on all hosting plans at this time at either https://webmail.example.com or https://example.com/roundcube - depending on your hosting platform
- ##-- Replace "example.com" with your real domain.
- Use mail forwarding -- this is setup via your hosting control panel -> Email settings area -> Email forwarders. The exact location depends on the hosting platform used.
Please let us know if you have any questions.
